Toots are ephemeral, subject to deletion on a whim.

Born at 323 ppm. Living at the crossroads of the Butlerian Jihad and Idiocracy.

I've been terminally online for ~40 years, long before the big endless scroll. I've seen things some people wouldn't believe. 1200 baud modems on fire from Usenet flame wars. I watched c-news servers stutter at the mere mention of Kibo. All those moments will be lost in AI slop, like tears in rain. Time to deshittify.

@citizen428 How about a giant goatse. Like a 30 storey tall one. With a Starship Dildo about to breach it.

@me Smells like a cache was not copied over, db not shut down / flushed first, or db write ahead logging or journaling wasn't enabled.

I remain amused that our microwave has power settings 1-7. Nothing higher. It's like they watched Spinal Tap but misremembered 11 as 7. "But this one goes to seven!"

@UnitedForCA Yeah, but... what about his "Old Stock Canadians" moment that resulting in his party losing power in his last election?

Harper is not the best one to listen to. (Unless you are appealing to the socially conservative rednecks which are the most likely to lean towards voting to separate. )

@me My backups run between 1am and 3am local, so I don't know or care if it slows down for me here. (running ice shrimp dot net). FWIW, a nvme filesystem cache made things more livable when activity pub decided to get spicy with the packets.

@me @EdwinG Smells like QC -> EU, since gas pipeline sabotage to EU was mentioned in one of the articles I chased down. Where that capacity will come from, I dunno.

Maybe if QC stops supplying USA. That would be swell.
