#GotoSocial experiment update:

Today I was successfully able to jump the GTS instance from a container on my Synology NAS to a container on my main server machine. This had failed previously for reasons I suspected were related to a rate-limit on LetsEncrypt’s side, which today’s experience would seem to bear out.

We’ll see how that affects overall performance of the instance. (I’m expecting big improvements)

Not that the performance if the instance running on the Synology was terrible, but there was a noticeable slowdown when the NAS was performing other disk-intensive operations.

For some reason, all my posts from the last couple of days appear to have vanished. This shouldn’t be as I direct-copied the database from the one container to the other, so in theory it should be identical but if that’s the biggest problem, I’ll take it. 🤷‍♂️

@me Smells like a cache was not copied over, db not shut down / flushed first, or db write ahead logging or journaling wasn't enabled.
