Disks keep getting bigger. Growing larger in capacity faster than their data transfer rates are growing.

It is taking more and more time to rebuild a RAID set after a drive fails, putting the data integrity at risk and also causing a performance hit whilst the rebuild is running.

ZFS now has triple raid.

It’ll hold us for a little while…
