SUN Microsystems is changing it’s stock ticker from SUNW to JAVA.

OK, I believe now SUN has officially jumped the shark. I hope they wave to Fonzie while they are in this transition phase, before the final death rattles envelope them.

I suspect the next step will to be a rebranding of Solaris 11 to Javaris 3, followed by a reverse takeover deal with Novell.

Edit: My earlier posting seems even more relevant now, doesn’t it?
