I just saw this on the Pilsner Urquell site :

To enter our site you must be over the legal drinking age in your country of residence. US residents under the age of 21 and Canadian residents under the age of 19 are not permitted to enter the Pilsner Urquell website. No persons under the age of 18 are permitted to enter this website.

OK bozos, since when was 19 the drinking age in Alberta? I’m not sure if there are any other provinces at 18, but for sure we are. I think, unless Uncle “prohibition” Stelmach pulled a fast one on us . . .

This is from one of the “weekend in the woods” outings.

No retouching other than the ComicLife treatment. Yes, the deer really did come that close to Melvin C. Thudpucker despite the axe and lack of food in the outstretched hand. He scared it away right after this picture, hoping that it would get a clue and not hang around humans.

I haven’t been making beer on a regular basis for maybe 10 years now. Last January I got back into it with a friend but after getting all of the gear bought and one batch made we just didn’t seem to find time until now, a year later, to do a second batch each.

This time around I am trying something a bit more involved. I wanted to do something with honey as a component, and found a few recipies. I’m basing my Hoppy Bee Brew on the Beer Cabinet Bee Brew recipie on that page.
