Haleakala Panoramic

Mt. Haleakala was cloud free until well after sunrise. There is a small bit of cloud creeping up the valley on the far upper right…
The ‘crater’ is about 7.5 miles long (front to back in this photo) and 2.5 miles wide (left to right). It’s actually an erosional feature. The red cinder cones are the obvious vocanic features on this dormant giant.
